Hazardous House: The Perils of Plugging Into a Church That Won’t Discipline You
While church discipline has often been accused of being unloving and outdated, the Bible states otherwise. Pastor Eric Davis writes about the topic of church discipline in his latest article on the Cripplegate. He opens with this statement:
“Church discipline (Matt 18:15-20
) is often messy, costly, and accompanied by damage. The pain experienced is typically unmatched when a professing believer must be publicly put out of the local church.
Even so, when practiced biblically, it is consistent with biblical love, care, and obedience to Christ.”
